ON THE DAY

What time do I need to drop my child off on the day?

Arrive at the Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens when doors open. 11:00am

What should my child wear to arrive in and how should they have their hair?

Your child must arrive with their hair done, in their full outfit (Pink/Rose Leotard, Tights/Socks, Ballet Shoes/Trainers.

All dancers to have a centre parting low back bun. This must stay in all day so plenty of gel, hair spray and bun pins. We do advise using a bun net as it will stay in much longer. Boys to have their hair neat.

If your child’s hair won’t go into a bun, please make sure it is as neat as possible and out of their face.

Where should I drop my child off?

When you arrive in the ballroom, please find your seats and get comfortable. At 11:30am bring your child to stage right as you look at it. You will see a member of staff to collect your child. No earlier please.

PLEASE DO NOT ENTER BACK STAGE UNLESS YOU ARE AUTHORISED TO DO SO.

What should my child bring with them?

Nothing! We will provide water for them until they return to you.

What happens during the show?

Your child will stay with us until the interval.  We will bring them on to the dance floor for you to collect during the interval. They will then sit with you to enjoy the second act. If you are sat in the media gantry, you will NOT be able to take your child to your seats. There will be seats available round the ballroom, that are unreserved for you to use. Your child can join with the finale.  Stephen will announce just before the finale for you to bring your children back to the dance floor with their jingle bells.

What time does the show start?

Show starts: 12:00 noon

WE DO ALLOW VIDEOING OF YOUR OWN CHILD, BUT KINDLY ASK THAT NO VIDEOS ARE POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA!

WHEN THE SHOW IS FINISHED, PARENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE CHANGING ROOMS FOR SAFEGUARDING REASONS.
PLEASE WAIT IN THE BALLROOM FOR YOUR CHILD TO BE BROUGHT TO THE DANCE FLOOR!
